AZ Walk Of Courage
The AZ Walk of Courage is our signature community event honoring burn survivors, their families, and the professionals who support them. Hosted annually by Changed by Fire, this powerful gathering brings together survivors, caregivers, medical teams, and supporters from across Arizona to walk, connect, and celebrate resilience in all its forms.
The walk was created to honor the strength and resilience of burn survivors, raise awareness about life after a burn injury, and support the emotional, psychological, and social recovery that continues long after hospital care ends. Burn injuries change lives in an instant, but healing is a long journey. Survivors and their families often face unseen challenges that are misunderstood or overlooked. This event brings together survivors, caregivers, medical professionals, and supportive community members in a space designed for connection, recognition, and shared understanding. Each step taken represents courage, remembrance, and the power of healing together.
Whether you're a survivor, a supporter, caregiver or simply someone who believes in healing beyond the hospital, this event is for you.

Continuing the Walk
The AZ Walk of Courage is one of the many ways Changed by Fire builds awareness and community around burn recovery. Each year, the walk helps strengthen connections, expand outreach, and remind survivors that support continues beyond the physical healing process.
