Equine Therapy & Wellness Day
A Day of Healing, Horses, and Connection with Changed By Fire
A Day At The Ranch is a signature event hosted by Changed by Fire, offering burn survivors, their families and caregivers a chance to experience meaningful connection, explore holistic support services, and spend time in a peaceful ranch setting. Held in collaboration with trusted equine professionals and wellness practitioners, the day is designed to be restorative, community-focused, and welcoming to all.
Participants are invited to interact with horses, take part in guided wellness sessions, and connect with others who understand the unique journey of life after a burn injury.

Why We Created This Event
Recovery after a burn injury doesn’t end with physical healing. Survivors and their families often face emotional and psychological challenges long after their hospital stay. Equine Therapy & Wellness Day was created to:
-
Provide a calm, supportive space for connection and reflection
-
Introduce alternative support options in a low-pressure environment
-
Offer opportunities to reconnect with the body and build confidence
-
Strengthen relationships among survivors, caregivers, and professionals
This day is about being present, being seen, and discovering new ways to support healing.

Highlights from Past Events
These events bring together survivors, caregivers, burn care professionals, and community members for a shared day of learning, growth, and support. Activities range from horse grooming and guided interactions to mindfulness, yoga, and bodywork.
