About

August 1, 2016 I was in an enclosed landscape trailer that went up in flames and i was burned over 60% of my body and over 33% of my body was 3rd degree, i then was able to drive myself down the street from the soccor field I was at to a police station and walked in just as my adrenaline was subsiding, collapsed almost into the arms of the paramedics that showed up as 6 people began doing what they could to save my life. A life flight helicopter from Metro Burn Center in Cleveland arrived and was placed in a coma for a week, I awoke and endured the Ice Cold baths (115 degree water) on the metal slab and then came the hard part learnimg to walk again and regaining the use of my hands, having no fingernails, wrapped like a mummy, sleepless nights, feeding tubes and all the other horrors from hell. its been over 5 years and still here the screams generated by me and the flames as the heat melted me like butter.

I am thankful for places like this and support groups that provide everlasting friendships paired with discussion and therapy both physical and mental to help those that have experienced walking through the fire and walking into a new life of battles, combined with victories and temporary set backs and new strategies to win the war with PTSD and all that comes with being a survivor!
